Hey folklets. Kind of annoyed. I'm trying to download stuff, and what I get is an error message. I'm on NLS, and whenever I hit the download button,it says my current security settings don't allow me to download this file. Thing is, I don't remember playing with my security settings, so I don't know what I might've done or not done. Anyone got a clue? Cuz I don't even have a vowel. Thanks people.
I don't want to worry you unnecessarily, but a friend of mine kept having this happen for about a month and then his computer died. It was his hard drive. As soon as he got a new hard drive and got his computer fixed the way it had been, NLS worked again.
Of course, it could also be something not so dramatic. Try clicking on the support link on the BARD site and see if they can help you.
I hope it's not the computer! I only just got the damned thing a year ago and it's a beautiful Mac with a 750-gig hard drive! But I'll clik the support settings and see. Thanks muchly.
Okay folkses, here's what I did. I did a google search on the exact error message I was getting. Turns out the problem was relatively easy to fix, so I shoulda done that first. I opened my Internet browser, went to internet options, then security, then custom, then found download files and turned enable on. I am now happily downloading BARD books again!!! So, you can disregard my annoyance, but that's what you do whenever something like that happens to you. Cheers!--John
Glad you solved your problem.
Of course your first mistake was getting a Mac. (I just couldn't help myself.)

Glad you found a solution. Good idea to type exact error message into browser. I never would have thought of that.
